The Food Flex

I'm not a picture taker. It's nothing I've ever really been interested in and I often have friends give me grief about not taking pictures. Case in point, I've known my sister-in-law for almost five years. We have maybe three pictures of just the two of us together (maybe says a little about both of us). Korea is my opposite.

Everyone here is always taking a picture all the time and it's hard to miss. The shutter click of pictures being taken is heard everywhere you go, and couples are perpetually posing for selfies. Really none of this is my speed. But there is one thing I found I've can be persuaded to participate in.

Food pictures.

I'll be honest, a lot of people take pictures of food because they love the food. My motives are nowhere near as pure. I take pictures to send to people on purpose. It's not spite, but it's a solid tease. Especially if they bailed last minute and didn't come to the party. My food was definitely better than their ramen. ;) (If I'm found dead under a bush, it was that last statement that did it.)

So for today's post, we have a small montage of the food pictures I've sent. Please enjoy~~

Cheesy Mixed Fried Rice...My love.

My first successful order by myself. I danced I was so happy. Dumplings with ddeokbokki. (The fruit bowl looking thing is actually pickled radish, which is delicious.)

This may or may not have been a gloating photo sent to our guy friends not invited to our Girls Day...
(Italian food of some kind, not sure what their names are, but you can bet that's a restaurant I bookmarked).

Fortunately for T Teacher and I, the ice cream flavors they gave us were alright...We're not sure if they asked us if we wanted those specifically, or if we just said "whatever's fine"...the problem when you only know how to say "ne", haha.

Homemade ddeokbokki from my one my coworkers. This made my week!!

I don't know what this is called, but it had chicken, ramen and ddeokbokki so it was amazing (those are quail's eggs on top. They're really popular here.)

Hawaiian Pizza, without anything weird on it. Further proof of God's love? It's less than a block away.

Next week is Chuseok, so my posting may be a bit sporadic since I'll be doing some traveling through the break. But after I get back we'll be back to the regular posts.

Happy Thursday!
